Job Description:-

Candidate will be required to look after concept development & designing of Women's wear Garments(Kurtas, Gowns, Dresses, Kurta Sets, etc). Candidate should be able to understand the design requirements and develop samples on a daily basis working in co-ordination with tailors, embroidery workers, pattern masters, etc. 

Responsibilities and Duties:-

  • Manage and head the sampling department.
  • Conceptualise Design Collections.
  • Give regular design and fabric feeding to the sample master, tailor and embroidery mocker on a daily basis.
  • Draw pattern & embroidery sketches if required.
  • Conduct research about latest designs and developments from different sources.
  • Indulge in planning future product developments with the senior management.
  • Visiting market regularly for new fabrics, designs, prints, value additions, etc.
  • Be as creative as possible in patterns and value additions.
  • Creating production sheets of all samples created on a daily basis and filing them.

 Qualifications and Skills:-

Education: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in fashion designing from a renowned institute like NIFT would be given preference over diploma holders. Candidates with no previous formal education in designing would not be considered. 

Experience: Previous designing experience of at least 1.5-2 years in a good organisation is preferred.
Skills: Strong pattern making , Detailed knowledge of embroidery, hand work and other kinds of value additions, Good colour sense , Ability to forecast future trends , Ability to understand market demand and deliver design collections accordingly , Good communication abilities , Should be a team-player.

Salary : As per industry standards. Shouldn’t be a hurdle for the right candidate.
